Distribution: see map in SMID et al. 2017: Fig. 1. Not in Israel fide S. Meiri (pers. comm, 16 Oct 2019). Not listed for Iraq by Mohammed et al. 2017 (RJH 24: 193). 
EtymologyNamed after Mr. W. Bernoulli who donated the type to the museum.
