Type locality: Kerman, Kerman Province, Iran.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Internasals enlarged, in contact, followed by an additional pair ofenlarged shields twice as large as succeeding scales (Fig. 83A in Anderson 1999: 193); no postmentals (Fig. 83B), mental rounded behind, bordered by 8 granules; about 75 dorsal scales from axilla to groin; nostril surrounded by four scales (Anderson 1999: 193, as Tropiocolotes). 
CommentDistribution: See map in SMID et al. 2014 and GHOLAMIFARD et al 2019: 436 (Fig. 1) for distribution in Iran. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Mahmoud Latifi.
