Comment | Synonymy: BOULENGER 1891 synonymized Tropidurus indefatigabilis BAUR 1890 with Leiocephalus Grayii BELL 1843. Cochran 1961 and FROST 1992 followed that view, but Benavides et al. 2009 revalidated indefatigabilis. Tropidurus indefatigabilis has also been confused with Microlophus albemarlensis and hence reports about albemarlensis may actually refer to indefatigabilis. The description by Baur 1890 is somewhat confusing as he describes the populations on each island and then gives them names a couple of pages later. |
