Type locality: originally in error (see comment); actually ‘‘Kilemba in Urua’’ (5 Kilembe, lat. 78409S, long. 26°03’E, Democratic Republic of the Congo).

bulsi: Type locality: “Kamina, Haut Lomami”

gerardi: E Democratic Republic of the Congo; Terra typica: “Kikondja (Katanga).”

Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies that of GANS 1967. LAURENT (1956) suggested bulsi may be a full species. Both Broadley 1976 and Gans 2005 listed bulsi as synonym of scalper though.

The type locality was originally given as ‘‘Angola’’.
