Paratypes: (n=4): NMK-S4083 (Field No. KJ00031) from the Jora area at the base of Mount Kasigau, Tsavo plains (3.82077oS; 38.61940oE, elevation 577 m), collected by Renson Dio 5 July 2006; NMK-S4102 (Field No. JM03134) from the same locality as NMK-S4083, collected by John Measey 24 October 2006; NMK-S4590 (Field No. KIZ029537) from the Komboyo area, Tsavo West National Park, Taita-Taveta County, Coast Province, southeastern Kenya (2.77405°S, 38.12045°E, elevation 870 m), collected 24 April 2017 by Patrick K. Malonza, Felista K. Kilunda and Justus Ochong’. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small Myriopholis, reaching a total length of 160 mm. It is assigned to the M. longicauda (Peters, 1854) species group based on having 260–285 middorsals and 26–27 subcaudals, a robust body, total body length to body width (LOA/BW ratio 51–57, a rounded beak, small anterior supralabial, 12 midtail scale rows semilunar cloacal shield and pink colouration in life (but darker above than below). EtymologyNamed in honour of Alex Duff-MacKay, the first curator of the Section of Herpetology, National Museums of Kenya, and collector of the holotype.
