Type locality: nr Black Mountain (15°40’S 145°14’E), Trevethan Range, 22km S Cooktown, Queensland

TypesHolotype: QM J29474 (GJ Ingram & D Miller 1.i.1977). Paratype: AM R70110. 
Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyGalgajuga is the territory name for Black Mountain in Gugu-Yalanji, the Bloomfield River language (ingram, 1978) (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
