Etymology | Named after Latin pustula = blebs, and pustulatus = having (many) blebs, probably referring to the yellow spots
The genus was named after Namaqualand as broadly construed, the area occupied by Nama speaking peoples, and Zonurus, girdle-tailed, the earlier name long used for Cordylus sensu lato. The name is masculine. |
