CommentSynonymy mostly after LOVERIDGE 1958.

Distribution: Not reported from Benin according to ULLENBRUCH et al. 2010, but possibly Benin (Hughes 2013). Not in Ivory Coast or Benin fide TRAPE & BALDÉ 2014: 320. For a map with localities in Equatorial Guinea see SÁNCHEZ-VIALAS et al. 2022.

Habitat: at least partially coastal and thus considered (partially) “marine”. 
EtymologyNamed after the Latin adjective “fuliginosus” meaning brown or dark brown colouration.
