TypesSyntypes: Lost (Kelaart refers to specimens sent to him by Layard), from Cinnamon Gardens of Colombo, Sri Lanka, collected E. Layard. 
Diagnosis 
Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Edgar Leopold Layard (1824-1900) who was born in Italy. He travelled widely, including to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) (1844-1854), South Africa, Brazil, Fiji, and New Caledonia.
