Type locality: "Timor Laut Islands" (= Tanimbar Islands, Indonesia).  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.1.3.98 and 1946.1.3.99, both females, one is 305 mm, (H.O. Forbes).

Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Henry Ogg Forbes (1851-1932) was an explorer and collector. He was Director, Canterbury Museum, New Zealand (1890-1893) and was editor of the Liverpool Museum Bulletin, in which Boulenger published some papers.
