Oligodon subcarinatus is a synonym of O. signatus (fide WAGNER, pers. comm. and TILLACK & GÜNTHER 2010) based on examination of types of both; only odd geographic distribution separates them. Synonymy mostly after TILLACK & GÜNTHER 2010.
