TypesTypes: BMNH 1946.1.3.38-39 (and possibly additional specimens). 
CommentSimilar species: Has been confused with O. travancoricus. Many of the early species (spilonotus, ellioti, fasciatus) lumped by Boulenger as color varieties O. subgriseus, may be valid [F. WAGNER, pers. comm.].

Distribution: Possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012).
