Type locality: Kina Balu, elevation: 4200 feet, North-Borneo  
Reproductionoviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022)

EtymologyNamed after Dr. Karl Richard Hanitsch (1860-1940), a German biologist who became Director, Raffies Library and Museum, Singapore (1895-1919).
