Comment	Type species: Oreocalamus hanitschi BOULENGER 1899: 453 is the type species of the genus Oreocalamus BOULENGER 1899.
Etymology	Named after Dr. Karl Richard Hanitsch (1860-1940), a German biologist who became Director, Raffies Library and Museum, Singapore (1895-1919).
