Type locality: Lüderitz-Bucht, Southwest Africa.

DiagnosisDIAGNOSIS: A slender, medium sized, nocturnal, terrestrial gecko, with delicate, semi-transparent appearance, differing from all related geckos by its webbed feet (Haacke 1976). 
CommentType Species: Palmatogecko rangei is the type species of the genus Palmatogecko ANDERSSON 1908. 
EtymologyNamed for its collector, Dr. P. Range.
