Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A species of the endemic Malagasy genus Paracontias as conceived by Brygoo (1980b) but differing from the other species in the genus in the following combination of characters: frontal bell-shaped (vs hourglass-shaped) and supraoculars four (vs three) (Andreone et al. 2002).
