DistributionPhilippines (Luzon, Sorsogon Province)

Type locality: Sorsogon, Bulusan (San Roque), (N: 12.751°; E: 124.084°)

knollmanae: Philippines (Mt. Isarog, Luzon Island); Type locality: at 1125 m elevation on Mt. Isarog (Philippines, Luzon Island), bicol Peninsula, Camarines Sur Province, 4.5 km N, 20.5 km E Naga City.

Holotype: PNM 2311 (formerly USNM 318342) [knollmanae] 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: small species of Sphenomorphus, distin- guished by the following combination of characters: (1) body small, sVL 42.1–57.1 mm; (2) prefrontals in moder- ate to narrow point contact; (3) frontoparietals fused; (4) labials 6–7; (5) large supraoculars 4; (6) paravertebrals 74–83; (7) midventrals 42–48; (8) scales around midbody 34–38; (9) toe IV lamellae 16–18; (10) dorsal coloration medium to dark brown with dark brown and black flecks between a pair of wavy, black, dorsolateral stripes on trunk; (11) ventrolateral surfaces of neck and head orange with brown flecks and golden yellow round spots; (12) an inverted acutely triangular marking present above forelimb insertion; and (13) ventrum deep orange with golden-yellow spots in life [from BROWN et al. 2010]. 
CommentSphenomorphus knollmanae was synonymized with S. laterimaculatus by BROWN et al. (2010).
