Reproductionoviparous (phylogenetic imputation, fide Zimin et al. 2022)
TypesHolotype: CAS 61503
DiagnosisDiagnosis: This species of the S. steerei group differs from other members of the group in the following combination of characters: (1) the number of lamellae under the toes, 13-15 under the fourth toe, greater than that of other species except rare specimens of S. steerei; (2) the size at maturity, snout-vent length up to 46-47 mm, larger than other species except S. luzonense; (3) the combination of exposed tympanum and fused frontoparietals, in which it is similar to S. steerei but differs from S. luzonense. It is probably most closely related to steerei. (Brown & Alcala 1980)
