Type locality: Mt Ouin, track along northeast edge of Mt Ouin Range, 22°00’S 166°28’E (elevation ~1000 m),  
TypesHolotype: MNHN 2011.0276 (formerly AMS R.165819) collected by R.A. Sadlier and G.M. Shea, 27 December 2003. 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type specimen (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyThe epithet is a noun in apposition in reference to the type locality, Mt Ouin.
