Type locality: Petriky, 25°05’ S, 46°49’ E, 50 m elevation, Tôlanaro (Fort Dauphin) Fivondronana, Toliara (Tulear) Province, Madagascar.

Diagnosis 
CommentMember of the Phelsuma laticauda (phenetic) group (GLAW, VENCES & ZIEGLER 1999). 
EtymologyNamed after the Antanosy tribe and the Antanosy region in southeastern Madagascar.
