Type locality: Lac Ampitabe (18°36’ S, 49°15’ E) near Andranokoditra, ca. 65 km south of Toamasina (= Tamatave), East Madagascar.

Diagnosis 
CommentMost closely related to the P. lineata group.

Similar species: Has been mis-identified as Lygodactylys sp. by animal traders.

Max. length: 71 mm.

Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after the Malagasy word kely = small.
