Diagnosis 
CommentTerra typica: Martinique (in error).

The French name is given as “l’Ameiva de Plée” by DUMÉRIL & BIBRON 1839, hence the name may be emended to Ameiva pleei, in contrast to the original name which was spelled “Plei”.

Subspecies: Ameiva plei analifera COPE 1869 was listed as synonym of A. pleei in SCHWARTZ & HENDERSON 1988.
