Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A moderate-sized species (males to 132 mm SVL, females to 96 mm SVL) with low number of granules at midbody (127-159), high femoral pore count (58-72), moderate number of subdigital lamellae on the fourth toe (33-42), high number of scales in the fifteenth caudal verticil (28-38), and moderate number of transverse rows of enlarged ventral scales (30-37) (Table 2). The dorsum is black, sometimes dark brown, and patternless, and the ventral color is slate gray to black.
