TypesHolotype: BMNH (and possibly additional specimens). 
CommentType species: Phyllurus novaehollandiae SCHINZ 1822 is the type species of the genus Phyllurus SCHINZ 1822. Phyllurus OKEN 1817 is a nomen nudum fide WERMUTH 1965: 148.
