minima: Australia (Western Australia; Houtman's Abrolhos Islands); Type locality: West Wallaby Is., Houtman's Abrolhos, W. A.

Holotype: MCZ 32972 [minima] 
DiagnosisDiagnosis A moderately small Pogona with a single series of small erect spines along dorsoventral angle of body, distinguishable from P. minor minima by its much shorter appendages and from P. minor mitchelli by its greyish coloration, narrower head and weaker spines (specially those of transverse occipital series) [STORR 1982]

minima: Max. SVL: 16 cm; max tail length: 24 cm.

Diagnosis (minima): A small, relatively slender, long-limbed Pogona, similar in all respects to P. minor minor of the opposite mainland except for its longer appendages and more numerous subdigital lamellae [STORR 1982] 
CommentHybridization: In areas where both mitchellii and minor occur the two forms hybridize (MANTHEY & SCHUSTER 1999, MÜLLER 2002).

Subspecies: The former subspecies Pogona minor mitchelli (BADHAM 1976) and minima have been elevated to full species status.
