DistributionC Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire), Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville) ?

Type locality: "Bolobo (Congo belge: Distr. du Lac Léopold II), Congo belge." [=Boldoo, extreme northwestern Bandundu Region, extreme west-central Zaire, 2˚10'S, 16˚14'E].

TypesHolotype: RMCA (= MRAC) 9829, a 645 mm female (H. Schouteden, 1934).

EtymologyFrom the Latin robustus (strong like an oak).
