Holotype originally in WNS = MWNH, lost when forwarded to platemaker in Frankfurt (Rawlinson, cited by Cogger 1983), from '?Süd-Australien". |

Etymology | Named after Dr. Heinrich Alexander Pagenstecher (1825-1889), a physician, zoologist, and comparative anatomist. He taught at the Universitat Heidelberg (1856), before becoming Professor of Zoology there (1865). |
