TypesHolotype: lost (fide BRYGOO 1980). 
Diagnosis 
CommentLimb morphology: Limbless; no ear openings visible.

Type Species: Pseudoacontias madagascariensis is the type species of the genus Pseudoacontias BOCAGE 1889.

Only known from a single specimen.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
