Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).

Similar species: Toxicodryas blandingii (males) 
EtymologyNamed after Sir George Dashwood Taubman Goldie (1846-1925), a soldier and founder of what is now Nigeria. He also was the Governor of the Royal Niger Company.
