Type locality: “Calcutta”; in error fide ZHAO & ADLER 1993. Margherita, in Patkai Mountains, Upper Assam (fide ANANJEVA & STUART 2001).

CommentType species: Otocryptis (Ptyctolaemus) gularis PETERS 1864 is the type species of the genus Ptyctolaemus PETERS 1864.

Distribution: possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012).
