TypesSyntypes: BMNH 76.10.13.2-3; ZSI (ZSIC) 5620 and ZMB (fide NAZAROV et al. 2013) 
Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Has been erroneously (?) reported from India. Reports from Socotra actually refer to Haemodracon riebecki.

Subspecies: Ptyodactylus homolepis socotranus STEINDACHNER 1902 is a synonym of Haemodracon riebeckii.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
