Type locality: Dali Village in Mt. Diaoluo. Lingshui Co., Hainan Prov.; 225 m elevation  
TypesHolotype: CIB 64III5917, Male: 6. 10. 1964. 
CommentSome species of this genus are venomous although we do not have information about this particular species. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Kraig Kerr Adler (b. 1940) former Professor of Biology at Cornell University. He was co-founder and Chairman of the Ohio Herpetological Society (later the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles).
