Type locality: Travancore hills, Wynad, and the Anamallays up to 5000 feet.  
Reproductionoviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.8.2.55-71 (formerly 74.4.29.435-451), Western Ghats, India, collected Col. R. Beddome.
