Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: See map in SMID et al. 2014 for distribution in Iran. 
EtymologyThe species is named after Dr. Hermann Asmuss, a former teacher of Strauch and professor of zoology at the University of Dorpat.

The genus is named after Greek “centron” = thorn, sting, and “trachelos” = neck.
