DiagnosisDiagnosis: Smith 1939: 356. 
EtymologyThe name is derived from the Latin bi, "two", canthus, "edge" or "corner," and -alis, "pertaining to", and refers to the 2-2 canthals of the species, differentiating it from S. aeneus, with 1-1 canthals.
