Type locality: Huanren, Liaoning, China  
ReproductionS. huanrenensis and S. reevesii are ovovivparous (as opposed to the other East Asian Scincella). 
TypesHolotype: DLNM (?), given as DMNH 810045, allotype: DMNH 810025 (= Dalian Museum of Natural History, DMNH), paratypes: CIB.
