Type locality: 5.1 km NW of La Descubierta, elevation 273 m, Independencia Province, Dominican Republic.

Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Andreas Schubert, a German zoologist who lives in the Dominican Republic and works for the National Park Service.
