Diagnosis | DESCRIPTION: Size small (SVL in only male 21 mm); dorsals acute, keeled, flattened, imbricate, axilla to groin 31; no area of middorsal granules or granular scales; ventrals smooth, cycloid, imbricate, axilla to groin 31; dorsal caudal scales unknown, ventral caudal scales unknown; snout depressed, slightly decurved; snout scales oval, narrow, keeled, subimbricate; 2 postnasals; 3 internasals, the central one minute, tlte lateral ones large, rhomboidal; upper labials to mideye 3; gular scales small, imbricate, keeled; chest scales smooth; midbody scales 60;escutcheon with broad central area and extensions onto thighs to near knee, 7 x 25. Dorsum uniform dark gray (faintly zonate) with no pattern except faint sacral figure composed of indistinct dorsolateral stripes; head with faint upper and lower postocular stripes; knee and crus with faint light marks; venter heavily stippled with gray, irregularly lineate; throat light centrally with some apparent, light spotting (from Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 516). |
