CommentType: not in BMNH (P. Campbell, pers. comm., 7 July 2014).

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Elio Modigliani (13 June 1860 – 6 August 1932), Italian explorer, naturalist and ethnographer, who collected the type. (Glenn Shea, pers. comm., 2 Feb 2024)
