Type locality: Tifalmin, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea (5° 07’ S, 141° 24’ E).

Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: this is one of the species called “lost” and “rediscovered” by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after the Latin for dark (fuscus) and line (linea) and draws attention to the thin dark dorsolateral line on the neck and body, which is unusual in the S. maindroni group.
