TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.8.19.21-26 (formerly 99.4.25.8-13), Rossel I., Louisiade Archipelago, PNG, collected A.S. Meek. 
Diagnosis 
CommentThis species belongs to a new genus to be described, as it nests within the Eugongylini, fide Chapple et al. 2023.

Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
