CommentHabitat: terrestrial.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Robert WaIter Campbell Shelford (1872-1912), a Singapore-born English-educated naturalist and Curator of the Sarawak Museum (1897-1905). He became an Assistant Curator at the Oxford University Museum.
