| Etymology | Named after Captain Michael William Robert de Courcy (26 September 1882, India – 21 October 1969), later 34th Baron Kingsale. A member of the 32nd Sikh Pioneers Regiment, who was on Abor Expedition of 1911-12 and collected the types. (Glenn Shea, pers. comm., 2 Feb 2024)
