Etymology | Named after Greek erythro-, meaning red, and Greek gaster = belly, respectively, after the color of the chin and throat and the sides of abdomen, which, according to Hallowell “are of a beautiful pink red color.” This color is not mentioned by Harvey et al. 2004 though, so it may be only a mating color. |
