Etymology | Named after the Instituto Veterinario de Investigaciones Tropicales y de la Altura (IVITA), a cooperative research institute of the Universidad San Marcos and the United Nations FAO. The faculty and staff of IVITA assisted field studies through provision of facilities and logistical support. |
