CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin nigro, black, dark and Latin maculatus, spotted. [“...a black Y-shaped mark beginning just behind the shoulders and extending to the vent; black continued on to the ventral surfaces of the hind legs...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
