DiagnosisDiagnosis: TORRES-CARVAJAL 2007. 
CommentDoes not occur in Ecuador as stated by various authors (TORRES-CARVAJAL 2000).

Belongs to the clades Scelotrema and Saccodeira (fide TORRES-CARVAJAL 2006). 
EtymologyThe Latin ornata, -us, = decorated" or "ornamented," refers to the ornate coloration.
