DistributionW Peru (Ancahs, Ayacucho, Junín, La Libertad, Puno, Huánuco: [HR 31: 187]), NE Chile (andean region of Tarapacá, Antofagasta), Bolivia, Argentina (Jujuy). Elevation 2600-2980 m (up to 4000 m fide WERNING & WOLF 2007).

Type locality: Not specified in original description. “Peru” fide SCHMIDT & WALKER 1943.
