CommentCharacteristic features. Characteristic are the single postnasal scale, four pairs of chin shields, and six longitudinal rows of large dorsale scales between the
hind legs, enlarged lateral scales on body absent, eight longitudinal rows of ventral scales, ventrals keeled, and seven femoral pores on each side (from ZIEGLER et al. 2006). 
EtymologyNamed after Professor Pao-the Han, a leading architect and designer in Taiwan. He was the first Director of the Taiwanese National Museum of Natural Science (1981-1995).
