TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.9.88 (and possibly additional specimens). 
CommentSimilar species: Species has been confused with T. parvicarinata and T. ephippiata (in Mali).

History: Rösler (1993) gives the year of description as 1809, WERMUTH (1965) as 1823. Mees (1987) clarifies this and corrects it to 1827.

Distribution: Not listed for USA by CROTHER 2000.

Synonymy: Tarentola senegalensis BOULENGER 1885 has been synonymized with T. delalandii by LOVERIDGE 1947.

EtymologyNamed after the diminutive form (“annul-”) of Latin “anus” = ring.
